Three-Car Collision Leaves 1 Dead, Multiple Injured:
A fatal three-car collision unfolded in Richland County on Saturday evening, as confirmed by the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP).
The incident, occurring at Two Notch Road and O’Neil Court in Dentsville around 6:25 p.m., resulted in one fatality and three injuries. SCHP’s preliminary findings indicate a northbound 2015 Cadillac collided with a west-facing 2022 Kia, causing an eastbound 2011 Audi to strike the Kia.
The occupants of all vehicles, including the Audi’s front-seat passenger, were hospitalized. Unfortunately, the passenger succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased individual’s identity remains undisclosed as SCHP continues its investigation.
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Greenville County:
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified 55-year-old Oscar Eduardo Plazas-Salazar as the pedestrian involved in a fatal crash near Brushy Creek Road and Barrington Drive.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning, when Salazar was struck by a 1999 Jeep SUV. Sadly, he succumbed to blunt force trauma at the scene. The coroner ruled his death as accidental.
