GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One person is dead and five others were injured in an overnight crash on Interstate 85 in Greenville.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at mile marker 41 shortly after midnight.
Troopers said a Chrysler Pacifica was traveling north when it collided with a disabled Honda in the roadway.
The crash caused the Honda to travel off the interstate, troopers said. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said there were five occupants in the Chrysler. All of the individuals were transported to the hospital for their injuries.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has not identified the driver of the Honda at this time.
The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.
