Man arrested for distributing large amounts of narcotics in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday they said is responsible for distributing large amounts of narcotics in the area.

According to reports from the sheriff’s office, the Spartanburg County Narcotics Unit received information that fentanyl was being distributed by Spencer Aaron Foster, 45, of Wellford, South Carolina.

Reports state that on February 8, the narcotics unit and officers with the Wellford Police Department executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Suber Drive. While searching the home, officers learned that drugs were possibly being held in a vehicle parked near the residence.

A second search warrant of the vehicle was executed and officers located the following:

  • 227 grams of fentanyl
  • 21.6 grams of cocaine
  • 7 grams of crack cocaine
  • 17 grams of marijuana
  • 60 mg of liquid cannabis
  • 1100 mg of THC edibles
  • Glock 43 handgun
  • $90,455.00 in US Currency

According to a release by the sheriff’s office, Foster claimed the gun and all narcotics found, and was arrested. He is being charged with the following:
