The South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame presented Rock the Country with a certificate of recognition at a press conference in Anderson County on Wednesday for its contributions to the arts and music and its role in solidifying Upstate South Carolina as a rising music tourism destination.
Kid Roc k, Jason Aldean , and Miranda Lambert are headlining the Rock the Country Music Festival’s “7 Small Towns and 7 Massive Shows” tour, with support from Brantley Gilbert , Travis Tritt , Big and Rich featuring Gretchen Wilson , and more.
Anderson County is the final stop on the national music festival produced by 46 Entertainment. Last week, 21,000 tickets had been sold, and organizers said they expect 25,000 visitors to the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Complex on Friday and Saturday, July 26-27.
According to an economic study, the event is anticipated to bring over $19 million in revenue to the Upstate.
Rock the Country is the largest music event to come to the Upstate since George Strait’s legendary performance over 25 years ago.
