Sheriff’s Office: Man out on bail allegedly stole car in Belton

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate man is waiting to be brought back to Anderson County after he allegedly stole another persons car at gunpoint while he was out on bail for other charges.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Cody Kyle Moore, of Easley, is charged with larceny, armed robbery, grand larceny and assault and battery.

On August 2, while out on bail from the Greenville County jail, Moore allegedly cornered an associate in a parking garage in Belton and demanded their keys and wallet at gunpoint.

When the associate refused, Moore reportedly shot at the ground near the victim’s foot, and eventually took the victim’s keys and drove to North Carolina.

He was arrested in Cleveland County and is awaiting extradition back to Anderson County Detention Center.
