Drought worsens for parts of the Western Carolinas after dry summer

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The latest drought monitor shows worsening conditions across parts of the Western Carolinas. The severe drought has returned for parts of the Upstate including parts of Pickens, Oconee and Abbeville counites. The moderate drought persists for most of the western mountains and Upstate with the Eastern Upstate still looking good for now.
