Urban Meyer Names CFB Program That is No Longer Elite

Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff made its way to Ann Arbor, MI in front of a crowd that loved former Michigan Heisman winner Charles Woodson and jeered notorious Wolverine rival Urban Meyer. The former Ohio State Buckeye coach was serenaded with a cascade of “boos” whenever he tried to speak.

However, the crew was able to huddle up for long enough for Meyer to drop his opinion on one of his former foes that’s suffered a serious fall from grace, the No. 25 Clemson Tigers. Following a 34-3 loss against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs, Meyer believes Dabo Swinney’s squad is no longer elite due to the lack of transfer portal additions.

“The top rosters in the country have no weaknesses,” Meyer said on Big Noon Kickoff. “After spring practice you [snap your fingers] and get a free agent. Clemson hasn’t done that. They’re not one of the best four or five rosters.”

Meyer says he still thinks that Clemson will make the College Football Playoff and even win the ACC, but he doesn’t feel they’re a true national championship contender.
