2 charged with distributing drugs near Upstate schools

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Two people were arrested Monday for allegedly distributing drugs near two schools in Honea Path.

The Honea Path Police Department arrested Barry Bryant and Whitney Henry following a house search on Texas Street. The residence is located between Honea Path Elementary and Middle School.

Officers said Bryant was wanted by the police department for trafficking methamphetamine and distribution of controlled substances within proximity to a school/park.

He is now facing additional charges of trafficking methamphetamine more than 28 grams but less than 100 and another count of distribution of controlled substances within proximity to a school/park.

Henry has also been charged with distribution of methamphetamine and distribution of a controlled substance within proximity to a school/park.

Both individuals were booked into the Anderson County Detention Center according to officers.
