Latest Visit ‘Definitely Helped Clemson’ with 4-Star Georgia OL

Among the top prospects in attendance for Clemson’s home opener last Saturday was a sought-after, four-star offensive lineman from the Peach State.

Cass High School (White, Ga.) class of 2026 recruit Bear McWhorter, one of Clemson’s top O-line targets, was on hand for the Tigers’ 66-20 victory over App State at Death Valley.

“The OL was very impressive and imposed their will early,” McWhorter said in an interview with The Clemson Insider. “Set the tone and kept it the whole game.”

Saturday marked McWhorter’s first time on campus since the summer, when the 6-foot-4, 295-pound junior picked up an offer from the Tigers.

“Me and the family loved the visit,” he said of the experience Saturday. “Would definitely say the highlight was getting to be up on top of the hill when they came running down – that was awesome.”

McWhorter’s relationship with Matt Luke has really started to flourish since the summer, and Saturday’s visit afforded McWhorter the chance to spend some more time with the Tigers’ offensive line coach.
