Weather Impact Day: Gusty winds, increasing showers on Monday, Tuesday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Monday and Tuesday will be a Weather Impact Day due to the threat of heavy rain and wind.

7NEWS Meteorologist Christy Henderson said gusty winds and increasing showers are on the way later in the day. Rain will arrive close to the evening, overnight and into Tuesday morning before the showers and winds taper off.

Depending on the development of potential tropical cyclone 8, track and timing could change, lessening impacts for the Upstate. Eastern counties may produce isolated flooding with most areas being less than 2″ and some areas with isolated higher amounts.

Impacts are for gusty winds are nearly 30 mph. Commuters should be aware of wet roads Monday night and Tuesday morning.
