Power outages, closings & storm damage across the Upstate

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Thousands are still without power early Wednesday morning in the Upstate. As of 6 a.m., the Duke Energy outage map reports thousands of outages in Greenville County.

Photos below show damages from the storm Tuesday night in Downtown Greenville.

The City of Greenville said crews worked overnight from a microburst and severe thunderstorms to repair downed power lines and clear roadways. Officials said firefighters even performed water rescues.

Power lines are down throughout the city, officials said.

According to officials, Tuesday’s storm is not connected to Hurricane Helene but officials said similar weather conditions are expected when the storm arrives over the next three days.
