Greenville woman dead after fire possibly related to Helene

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Greenville first responders responded to Pleasant Ridge Avenue on Saturday, involving a fire that resulted in a death.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Ceresa P. Butler, 54, of Greenville. The cause of the fire is being investigated as a possible weather-related incident.

Coroners said that an autopsy is scheduled for Monday and that Butler’s cause and manner of death are currently listed as “pending.”
