(WSPA) – Internet and television service has been a rare commodity for many in our region this past week.

Even cell service, for those who have it, slowed as more switch from Wi-Fi to data.

Downed cables are still a common sight across our area, responsible for not just the power loss, but also the loss of TV and internet.

Here is some expert advice on how to get key information in times like these.

Like many of us, the lack of internet and TV for the Ziebko family, in Greenville, was a bit of a shock to the system.

“We have a home in Florida and I was just telling the family, should I just drive to Florida and get our satellite and plug it up,” Daniel Ziebko said.

Benjamin Inman, owner of How? Smart Solutions did in fact drive a donated satellite to hard hit Hendersonville.

“What the starlink provided them was access on their cell phone via Wi-Fi so they could communicate on their family members that they haven’t been in touch with since the hurricane,” Inman said.
