Jaguars Elevate Former Clemson Standout

Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne aren’t the only former Clemson standouts on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ active roster for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jaguars announced Saturday they have elevated linebacker Tanner Muse from their practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game via standard elevation.

Muse was also a standard elevation for the Jaguars’ game against the Houston Texans last week, when he saw action on special teams. He joined the Jags earlier this year as an unrestricted free agent, signing with their practice squad in August.

A third-round pick (100th overall) of the Raiders in the 2020 NFL Draft, Muse spent his rookie season with the Raiders in 2020, then played in 33 games across three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks (2021-22) while on the team’s practice squad and the Los Angeles Chargers’ active roster (2023).

A two-time national champion at Clemson, Muse finished his career as a Tiger credited with 237 career tackles (10.5 for loss), 15 passes broken up, 4.0 sacks, seven interceptions for 102 yards (including a 64-yard return for a touchdown), a forced fumble and a 63-yard fumble return for a touchdown over 59 career games (39 starts).
