ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A driver died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash in Anderson.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred before midnight on New Prospect Church Road near Singleton Road.
Troopers said a Toyota SUV was traveling north when the driver lost control of the vehicle, went off the right side of the road and hit an embankment.
The vehicle then overturned several times according to troopers.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as 29-year-old Jeremiah Dustin Jefferson of Anderson.
The crash remains under investigation by the SCHP.
