9 people in Upstate drug ring sentenced to federal prison

Nine suspects convicted on federal drug trafficking charges have now been sentenced. The operation was based mostly in the Upstate and was responsible for distributing fentanyl, meth, heroine and cocaine.

8 of the 9 defendants were from Spartanburg. Court records say 53 year old, Terrance Bobo of Georgia was the supplier for the group. He was sentenced to 17 years.

Former federal inmates and repeat offenders Michael Jacobs and Maurice Canty both of Spartanburg were sentenced to over 20 years each.

The other 6 defendants were given sentences that varied from between 9 months and 14 years in federal prison. There’s no parole in federal system.
