Teen arrested in fatal shooting of Hartwell student

The GBI has arrested and charged an Anderson, South Carolina, teen in the death of Bry’shun Treviyus O’Brien Jordan of Hartwell.

Authorities booked 18-year-old Jarquavious Demetriun Scott into the Anderson County Jail on felony murder charges. According to a press release from the GBI, Scott is awaiting extradition to Georgia.

Jordan, a 15-year-old student at Hart Academy, was among multiple people shot outside 7 Grands nightclub on Evergreen Drive in Elbert County on Saturday, Oct. 12. At least seven others were injured during the incident.

The GBI did not detail what led to Scott’s arrest. At the request of the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, the GBI is leading the investigation into the deadly shooting.
