Clemson is off this weekend, meaning the next time the 9th-ranked Tigers take the field, the calendar will have turned to November.
After the disappointing loss to Georgia in the season-opener in Atlanta, Dabo Swinney’s team has reeled off six consecutive wins and are currently 5-0 in ACC play. Clemson will look to carry that momentum into November, as the Tigers are hoping for a strong finish that might propel the program into the College Football Playoff for the first time since the 2020 season.
“We haven’t done anything yet,” starting center Ryan Linthicum said on Tuesday. “We have put ourselves in a great opportunity but like coach Swinney says, we got to make it a November to remember. So, one day at a time.”
Last season the Tigers entered the month of November sitting at 4-4. Clemson would go on to beat Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and South Carolina over the next four weeks. A win over Kentucky in the Gator Bowl saw the program finish on a high note, winning each of its final five games.
