Highly-Touted WR Recaps Recent Clemson Visit, Calls Offense ‘Crazy’

Clemson’s atmosphere hit the mark with Myles McAfee during his first visit to campus.

The 4-star wideout (Archbishop Spalding, Washington, DC) visited Clemson for the very first time for the Tigers’ 48-31 win over Virginia. It was a trip that hit the mark with McAfee, with the raucous environment, as well as the family-like feel, just two of the many things that stood out.

“The atmosphere, that was a big one. The fans were going crazy,” McAfee told The Clemson Insider. “Another thing is the receiver coaches, they were getting to know my family. Not just football-wise, not talking about football, but actually getting to know them and me. That was great.”

Another thing that left an impression was Garrett Riley’s high-powered offense, and seeing T.J. Moore making an immediate impact showed the 6-foot wideout that the Tigers are willing to give freshmen receivers ample opportunity to see the field.

“The offense was crazy,” McAfee added. “Clemson’s offense has been going crazy this year.”
