18-year-old arrested after stolen car found in Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) – An 18-year-old is now in custody after he was reportedly seen in a stolen car in the city of Clemson.

The Clemson University Police Department located the stolen car from New York at the Tiger Mart on Old Greenville Highway before 9 p.m. on Saturday.

The vehicle was recovered and police reported that the person of interest fled on foot.

On Sunday afternoon, officers located and arrested the suspect.

His identity has not been released at this time.

The incident remains under investigation by the Clemson University PD.
