Letters: S.C. Board of Education and book banning: There must be a better way

In a recent edition, we read that a number of books have been recommended for banning by the S.C. Board of Education, but that members did not have to read them.

That makes little sense. Plus, a Board subcommittee even considered, in its questionable wisdom, banning “Romeo and Juliet.”

There must be a better way to keep naughty books out of our hands.
