Upstate middle school to host drive-thru turkey giveaway

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A drive-thru event in Greenville is giving away free turkeys, canned goods, sweet potatoes and more on Saturday.

According to Molina Healthcare of South Carolina, approximately 650 turkeys will be given out from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Berea Middle School.

Attendees can also get canned goods, sweet potatoes and other produce at the event.

Data from Feeding America reports that 60,850 Greenville County residents are considered food insecure, or unable to afford adequate food.

Papi’s Tacos will give away free tacos to those who stop by.

With flu season underway, the Prisma Health mobile clinic will administer free flu vaccines..
