South Carolina overcame a sluggish start and sloppy penalties to eventually pull away from the Wofford Terriers, securing a win by the expected margin. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers threw an interception on his opening pass of the game, but, as has been the case all season, the miscue did not affect his future performance. He went on to complete 22 of 27 passes for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Sellers also ran for a touchdown, accumulating these numbers in just over three quarters of action. Even the interception was more a result of an outstanding play by the Wofford defensive back than a poor throw. While the ball may have hung in the air a bit too long, it was still an impressive individual effort by the defender.
