Suspects arrested for burglarizing Upstate restaurant

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA)— Two burglary suspects were arrested after police found them hiding inside a Sonic Drive-In.

The Greenville Police Department said officers were patrolling when they discovered a broken window at the Sonic Drive-In located at 954 North Pleasantburg Drive. During the investigation, police could hear two individuals talking in the back of the building.

After several calls and announcements identifying themselves as police officers, authorities said the suspects refused to exit.

Officers attempted to locate the individuals using a drone, but their efforts were limited due to closed doors. Due to the lack of compliance, police said a K9 unit was deployed.

The K9 located the suspects hiding inside the building and apprehended them due to the continued lack of compliance according to officers.

Police have not released the identities of the suspects at this time but shared that the suspects were charged with burglary second-degree, interfering with police and resisting arrest.
