South Carolina Braces for Heavy Rain and Possible Flooding This Week

Spartanburg, SC – A prolonged period of heavy rainfall is set to impact Upstate South Carolina beginning Monday night, raising concerns about potential flooding. Forecasters warn that multiple rounds of rain could lead to rising water levels on local roads, especially in flood-prone areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Greenville-Spartanburg, rain showers will increase Monday night, with the heaviest downpours expected Tuesday into early Wednesday. Northeast Georgia, western North Carolina, and the Upstate region of South Carolina will see the most significant impact. Some areas could experience isolated flooding, particularly in low-lying regions and near streams.
