MYRTLE BEACH, SC. (WTOC) – The South Carolina Forestry Commission has lifted the statewide burn ban for 44 counties. Horry and Georgetown counties will remain under the burning ban until further notice.
The Forestry Commission says it lifted the ban because the dangerous combination of dry fuels and gusty winds has eased. Additionally, rain across the state Wednesday helped improve conditions.
