Report: Man charged with trafficking after fentanyl found in Spartanburg hotel

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said a man has been charged with trafficking after drugs were found during the execution of search warrants on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies executed two search warrants on two rooms at the Super 8 Hotel. In one of the rooms, officials came into contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Benjamin Manuel Palafox, and two females.

After searching the rooms, officials said they located the following items:

  • 14 grams of Fentanyl
  • 37 grams of Meth
  • 18 Hydrocodone pills
  • $24,331
