A 21-acre tract long eyed by developers in southern Greenville County will become a large upscale residential development with five four-story apartment buildings, 12 townhomes and three carriage homes.
Known as District South, the property was annexed by the city of Mauldin at the request of developer Flourney Development Group of Columbus, Georgia. It is located at the intersection of Tanner Road and Verdin Road where two homes were located, amid a cluster of commercial uses along heavily traveled Woodruff Road including a day care, car wash, a retirement home and some townhomes.
