Mary Martha Greene, a government relations consultant based in Columbia and Beaufort, will make a stop at Hub City Bookshop in Spartanburg to promote her second cookbook, “The Cheese Biscuit Queen, Kiss My Aspic!”
Throughout the book, Greene shares stories as well as recipes for dishes like Shrimp Remoulade Deviled Eggs, Pride of the Pee Dee Chicken Bog, Chocolate Pound Cake with Pecan Fudge Icing and Chatham Artillery Punch.
“This book has longer stories that are sort of set off by themselves and each story has at least two recipes with the headnotes about that specific recipe,” said Greene. “One other thing I wanted to do with this book is to encourage people to write their own family recipes and stories down. At the beginning of each chapter, I wrote a little paragraph about how you would go about writing your family recipes. I have an introductory and finale chapter that very much focuses on trying to get people to do that.”…
