Greenville, SC – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for much of Upstate South Carolina as dry air, gusty winds, and low humidity create dangerous fire conditions on Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, the warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT Saturday across numerous counties, including Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Cherokee, Laurens, and York. Winds from the west are expected to reach 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, while relative humidity could drop to 15 percent, significantly increasing fire risk.
