An investigation is ongoing after a deputy involved shooting in the Upstate ,Wednesday night. The Anderson County Sheriff’s responded to the area of Brookhaven Drive to locate a suspect who was wanted in Greenville County.
The suspect is out on bail on an attempted murder charge. He fled the scene in a vehicle and then crashed into a deputy’s patrol vehicle and later into a fence. The Sheriff’s Office says when he exited the car he began firing at deputies. Two deputies returned fire and the suspect was hit.
He was injured and was transported to the hospital. None of the deputies were injured. There’s been no update on the suspect’s condition…
