Greenville water provides update on effect of wildfires on drinking water

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Greenville Water reports that they do not expect recent wildfires to affect drinking water.

The utilities company said that this expectation comes after their experience with the 2016 Pinnacle Mountain Fire which did not affect water quality.

Greenville Water also reports that they have not yet had a need to adjust the water flow from the Table Rock watershed. However, it also said that North Saluda and Lake Keowee reservoirs have enough capacity to independently supply clean and reliable drinking water if the Table Rock reservoir is temporarily impacted…
