GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is delaying a widening project along I-85 in Greenville and Spartanburg counties.
SCDOT rolled out a plan to widen the interstate from exit 40 to exit 69 as part of their 10-year Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The idea is to add a fourth lane in both directions. Officials say they will also evaluate bridge overpasses and mainline bridges for replacement.
