The Fountain Inn City Council unanimously approved first and final reading of a resolution directing the city’s planning commission to study the development of an impact fee ordinance.
The ordinance is a reaction to the large amount of residential growth the city is seeing, said Fountain Inn Mayor G.P. McLeer.
“This is not necessarily imposing an impact fee tonight, but this will give us a recommendation on what to consider, and we will, of course, go into a lot more detail when that ordinance is before us,” McLeer said…
