SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Southbound lanes of Interstate 85 reopened Friday afternoon after they were closed due to a hazardous materials spill in Spartanburg County.
According to emergency officials, a semi-truck hit debris, which punctured the fuel tank, causing diesel to spill on the interstate near exit 68 (Highway 129).
