Kendall Mims, 21, already facing charges of accessory after the fact, obstruction of justice, and misprision of a felony, has now been charged by SLED with destruction, desecration, or removal of human remains in connection to the October 2024 murder of her roommate, Jessica Barnes, who was strangled by her husband in Pendleton. According to the new arrest warrant, Mims, along with the husband and another roommate, transported Jessica’s body to Pickens County and repeatedly burned the remains.
