Investment firm to bring nearly 3 billion dollar facility to the Upstate

Details of a long rumored multi-billion major investment in Spartanburg County were revealed late Monday. Investment firm NorthMark Strategies will establish the company’s first South Carolina operation with a $2.8 billion a state-of-the-art computing center to support businesses in the engineering and technology sectors.

Once operational, the facility will generate its own power on-site, ensuring minimal impact on the power grid. The facility will be located at 4000 South Pine Street in Spartanburg, site of the former Kohler plant, with initial operations expected to be online in 2026, with further development phases to follow…
