SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A surprise birthday celebration was held for a man who has helped keep a Spartanburg County school clean for decades.
At Cannons Elementary School, Head of Custodial Services Punzel Frenanders celebrated his 80th birthday with a “Punzel Birthday Parade” on Tuesday.
Students and staff lined the hallway, holding signs and wearing funny t-shirts in Frenanders honor. He started working at the school in 1987.
