WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Four people from Upstate South Carolina face counterfeit and drug charges after police said they tried to pass fake money at a Waynesville grocery store. Now, it could lead to federal charges.
On Easter morning, April 20, Waynesville police said counterfeit money – mainly $100 bills – were passed at the Ingles off Russ Avenue in Waynesville.
Four subjects had shown up at the store, and one had gone inside and attempted to pass a counterfeit bill…
