GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Downtown Greenville is growing and city leaders said they are taking proactive steps to ensure its transportation infrastructure keeps pace.
The city said with the steady rise in both residential and commercial development, city engineers have officially launched Phase II of the Downtown Transportation Master Plan (DTMP), a strategic initiative aimed at preparing for Greenville’s long-term growth.
“These are traffic safety projects, pedestrian safety projects, bicycle safety projects,” says Clint Link, Engineering Director. “As our City is growing and our Central Business District is growing, we’ve got to be able to identify the corridors that we need to be focusing on to address operational efficiency within the transportation system and safety improvements.”…
