Saluda River Grill is located on the Saluda River, which fueled the town of Piedmont. Piedmont became a thriving mill town using the water to help fuel a grist mill around 1850 and years later a cotton mill.
The building became the Piedmont Manufacturing Company and was sold in the 1940’s. Most of the building burned in the 1980’s but the Saluda River Grill remains with images on the walls inside the restaurant of the old mill…
