Initial approval: Development impact fee ordinance
Council unanimously approved the first of two readings of an ordinance imposing development-impact fees on new construction within the city as a means of offsetting higher demands on services due to growth.
The move follows months of work evaluating how the fees would be used to cover the costs of providing services and the capital improvements needed to meet growing demand.
