Late-night permits approved for Scout’s, STIR: Greenville Board of Zoning Appeals notes

Here is a recap of the May 8 city of Greenville Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. Both matters on the agenda were deferred from the board’s April 11 meeting.

Scout’s Doughnuts owner Ryland Rainsford applied for a special-exception permit that would allow its Main Street location in downtown Greenville to operate after midnight. The matter was deferred in April after the applicant was unable to fulfill the public-notice requirement before deadline. It was approved during its May return allowing for late-night doughnuts at 2 N. Main St. The shop will also introduce outdoor seating.
