Construction begins on four infrastructure projects in Greenville this summer

Four pedestrian safety projects will be under construction this summer in Greenville.

The city of Greenville announced the sidewalk project on West Antrim Drive will begin this week. Construction will consist of removing one lane to build a new sidewalk extending from Laurens to Greenacre roads. Work will include daytime lane closures and will be completed within three months.

A pre-construction meeting for engineers and contractors working on the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail pedestrian bridge over Verdae Boulevard will be held on June 18. According to the city, construction will begin in July and is expected to be completed in spring 2026. Period lane closures will occur during construction, and Verdae Boulevard will be closed for a few hours one night to install the structure over the corridor…
