Sheriff Hobart Lewis speaks ahead of “No Kings” protests

Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis and his deputies are preparing as protest rallies are scheduled in the Upstate for this weekend.

Sheriff Lewis joined Straight Talk with Bill Frady Wednesday afternoon to talk about what he expects after the area saw protests in the Summer of 2020.Lewis said “We don’t want any problems and we don’t expect any problems. What we saw in 2020 helps us to prepare for the upcoming protests”/

An organization called “No Kings” is holding protests nationwide on Saturday. One such event is slated for Greenville’s Unity Park. Sheriff Lewis says his office is working with the Greenville Police Department as the park falls under their jurisdiction…
