Habitat Greenville, Juneteenth GVL raise walls on new affordable home

A new affordable home by Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County and Juneteenth GVL is under construction in Greenville’s Nicholtown neighborhood.

Walls were officially raised for the inaugural Juneteenth Community Build on June 11. The project is part of Habitat Greenville’s Bridge Building Series, which brings people together to create more affordable housing.

“This is a perfect alignment for what our organization is doing in Greenville,” said Rueben Hays, the nonprofit’s founder and chair. “Juneteenth GVL is about empowerment and building for the future. There is no better partner to build with than Habitat Greenville.”…
