The South Carolina Department of Public Safety has promoted Justin E. Rogers to serve as Commander of Troop 3 for the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troop 3 includes Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, and Spartanburg counties.
Captain Rogers has served as the Troop 3 Lieutenant since 2022. He was named commander of Troop 3 to succeed Kevin N. Brown, who was concurrently promoted to Major in the SC Department of Public Safety’s Division of Strategic Services and Planning (DSSP).
Captain Rogers has more than 19 years of law enforcement experience with the Highway Patrol. He began his career as a trooper in 2006, serving several years in Troop 4 before joining the Area Coordinated Enforcement (ACE) Team in the Upstate. There he ascended the ranks and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2019.
