TABOR CITY, S.C. (WSPA) – Two people were killed Saturday when a plane originating from Spartanburg crashed in North Carolina.
According to Chief Jeff Fowler with the Tabor City Fire Department, rescue crews were called Saturday afternoon to an area around Old Dolthan Road for a reported plane crash.
Fowler said a twin-engine plane from Spartanburg was forced to divert from its intended flight path due to bad weather and crashed into a heavily wooded area. Due to the location of the crash, Fowler said it took crews nearly two hours and assistance from a helicopter to locate the downed plane…
