Upstate man convicted of shooting fiance, unborn child

LAURENS, S.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville man will spend more than 40 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of shooting his fiance and their unborn child in 2023.

According to the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, a Laurens County jury found Camrin Jay Smith, 25, guilty of two counts of murder, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one county of possession of an illegal sawed-off rifle.
