SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg County residents had a lot to say about a recent county council decision to slash the sheriffs pay to $100,000.
Last week, council members voted to cut the $219,009 salary by more than 50%.
“What I feel like you’re doing when you cut the salary is you’re telling the taxpayers of Spartanburg County, the voters of Spartanburg County, that we don’t care about the quality of our sheriff’s department,” a resident said. “That’s what I’m hearing.”…
